Does my apartment come furnished or not?
We offer a mix of furnished and non-furnished apartments, so you can select the option that’s right for you. Whichever apartment you choose, you’re free to make it your own. We’re happy for you to paint, decorate and hang things on the wall. For an additional fee, you can even enlist the maintenance team to assist with your makeover.
Are amenities included?
At Gramercy Tower, we don’t do unexpected, hidden costs – that’s not our style. Here’s everything that’s included in your monthly rent:

What services does the concierge provide?
Our team can help with everything from making restaurant reservations and booking taxis to receiving your parcels. Whatever you need, just ask, and we’ll do our best to help.
Is WiFi included?
High-speed WiFi at 250MB/ps is included in the monthly cost of your rent. If you require faster download speeds, you can upgrade for an additional charge.
For seamless work and play, you also have access to WiFi throughout all the social spaces within the building.
Are pets welcome?
Yes – Gramercy Tower is pet friendly. We welcome dogs, cats, rabbits and fish at no additional monthly cost. To find out more, please read our pet policy and contact a member of the team to discuss bringing your pet home.
Where can I store my bicycle?
We have dedicated bike storage that is secure and covered.
Is Gramercy Tower well-connected?
Yes – in every way you can imagine.
To make working from home a breeze, our apartments come with super-fast WiFi as standard. If you need even faster download speeds, you can upgrade for an additional charge. You also have access to WiFi throughout all the social spaces within the building.
If you’ve got places to go and people to see, you’re only five minutes from the city centre. Cardiff Central railway station is also just a short walk away, with regular trains to Bristol, London and beyond. Cardiff Airport is 30-minutes by car, giving you access to 30 direct flights and 15 airlines. You could be in Europe by lunchtime!
Do you have on-site maintenance?
Yes – the on-site maintenance team is highly responsive and ready to take care of any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
I am a student, can I rent at Gramercy Tower?
Yes – we welcome anyone over 18.
Do I need to go through referencing?
Yes – to reserve your new home you’ll need to go through a rental process. This requires you to provide proof of your ID and current address. Depending on your specific circumstances, you may also need to provide proof of funds. Don’t worry, our team will guide you through the process and make it as easy as possible for you to move in.
What is the quickest I can move in?
We can get you moved into your new home within seven days of the date of reservation providing all paperwork is completed and the necessary payments have cleared.
Can I choose my own move-in date?
We have a few requirements you’ll need to meet, but otherwise yes, you can choose when to move in.
What lease lengths do you offer?
We currently offer leases from six months.
Is there a fee for reserving the apartment?
Yes – a holding deposit of one week's rent is required to reserve your new home. This is then reconciled on your first payment.
What are the different deposit options?
At Gramercy Tower we have two deposit options:
4 weeks’ worth of rent, held within the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS)
0% deposit where you would instead pay one week's rent which is non-refundable
What payment method can I use?
Rent payments are made through Stripe – a straightforward, secure process that works similarly to a Direct Debit. Please note, if you are sharing an apartment, you will need to confirm via email which account the rent will be paid from. It cannot be paid from multiple accounts.
Do I need to set up my own utilities?
No – we’ve taken care of everything, so utilities are already in place. That’s one less thing on your to-do list!
Do I need to pay council tax?
Yes – you will need to pay your council tax. Once you move in, you’ll be able to apply on the council’s website. Should you encounter any difficulties, our on-site team will be available to assist you.
Are there any additional charges during the process?
No – you’ll pay a holding fee to reserve your apartment, your deposit (if applicable), then it’s just your rent and utilities. Simple!
What happens if something goes wrong in my apartment?
We have a fantastic maintenance team at Gramercy Tower. They’re always on hand to help keep your apartment in tip-top condition. Depending on the cause of the issue, one of our team will be out to assess the work required and complete it in a suitable timeframe.
Do you have any sustainability measures in place?
Being kind to the environment is incredibly important to us at Gramercy Tower. Our roof is fitted with solar panels, and we make recycling household waste as easy as possible. We provide free bike storage, and your new home also has an EPC rating of B – great for both you and the planet!
Are there any communal spaces or amenities?
Yes – living at Gramercy Tower gives you access to a whole world beyond the four walls of your apartment.
We have a gym, residents lounge, a coworking space, and a private dining kitchen with exclusive use available. Rising 28-storeys above the city, the building has two roof terraces offering spectacular views of Cardiff and the Welsh countryside beyond.
Through our Neighbourhood Heroes’ scheme, we’ve also partnered with carefully chosen local independent businesses to give you access to discounts and invitations to events and launches.
Do you run any community events?
Absolutely! We’re all about community at Gramercy Tower, so we run a wide range of wellness, entertainment, and community-building events throughout the year. If you’re new to the city and yet to make friends, we’re confident this won’t be the case for long!
